WHAT ARE COOKIES
Cookies, literally cookies, are nothing more than traces and information, that during our internet connections we leave on servers or are left by them, as we move through the network. Cookies, therefore, while on the one hand can improve our browsing, on the other hand can jeopardize both our privacy and the security of our information. They improve navigation when, for example, if we fill out a form with our favorite news, a server can transform this information into a cookie, which can be sent to our browser; the first time we will contact this site, a cookie will be sent to our browser, allowing the server to load the news on the page, to meet our needs. However, in terms of privacy and security, every access of our browser (internet program) to a website leaves different information about us, our own track on the network. (The data left along this track, other than the name and the IP address of our computer, the brand of the browser, the operating system in use, the URL of the web page you are viewing and the URL of the last page visited ). Without cookies, it would be almost impossible for anyone to become aware of our Web routes. We should rebuild our path by correlating hundreds of thousands of connections to the visited servers. With the use of cookies, the situation changes considerably. The most updated versions of both browsers (Netscape and Internet Explorer) offer the possibility to inform us every time a server tries to send us a cookie. If we enable this option, we will be able to refuse cookies. So, they are very useful, for example, if, after subscribing to a site that requires the use of a user name and password, we receive a cookie, which allows us to avoid the inclusion of these two parameters every time we we connect or navigate between a page and the other of the reserved area; our browser will use the cookie as our legendary badge! As for security, however, only a “spy” armed with sniffer, could intercept the cookie, as it passes from our browser to the server, and use it to get free access to the site. But, since our browser uses the domain name system (DNS) to determine which cookies belong to a server, it is possible to modify a browser, ie enter and spy our cookies on the computer to send a cookie to a pirated server, to temporarily subvert the DNS. To overcome this, among the many technologies, the primary one for those processing sites, is not to create cookies that have a long duration, because they can be stolen from the database of cookies and be read by the user. However, a fact is that, even if it is difficult to take off, e-commerce is very safe, thanks to the fact that frauds are minimal.

OPTIONALITY OF DATA SUPPLY
Apart from that specified for navigation data, the user is free to provide personal data to request the sending of informative material or other communications.
Failure to provide such data may make it impossible to obtain what has been requested.
For completeness it should be remembered that in some cases (not subject to the ordinary management of this site) the Authority can request news and information pursuant to art. 157 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, for the purpose of monitoring the processing of personal data. In these cases the answer is mandatory under penalty of administrative sanction.

HOW MY DATA IS TREATED
Personal data are processed with automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected. Specific security measures are observed to prevent the loss of data, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorized access.
